Stephanie is a Marketing Analyst on our Demand Generation team. Joining us
in 2015, she’s seen the Boston office grow from just six people to over 40!
Where were you born?
Describe yourself in three words:
Happy, adventurous, kind.
What was your first job?
I was a merchandising analyst at Wayfair.
What do you do for fun - outside of work?
I enjoy going to concerts - mostly rock concerts.
What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done?
That’s an easy one to answer. It definitely has to be cage diving with great white sharks. It was adventurous but also terrifying!
Describe your most memorable event:
See above. My trip to seeing Machu Pichu was also a standout moment - but in a different, less terrifying way!
What did you want to be when you were younger?
I wanted to be a doctor until I realised I was much more comfortable with numbers than human biology.
What or who makes you laugh?
My 6-month-old nephew. He’s the first grandchild in the family and is keeping us all amused!
Do you have a favorite food?
You can’t beat a grilled chicken caesar wrap.
What do you feel passionately about?
If you had a catchphrase what would it be?
“All I know is, you've got to be kind."
Describe your role at Workable:
It’s a good match for me. I’m a creative person, but I love working with numbers. My role gives me the opportunity to look at numbers in a creative way. I love the way I can analyse these numbers and stats to help colleagues and drive sales.
When did you join the company?
Describe your first day:
I remember my first day really well. I’d come from a 1500-person company and when I started at Workable there were only six other people in an office; six people and a dog! My new boss John brought his dog to the office. So great. I got to play with the dog which was awesome. Every office should have one!
What’s the highlight of your day / week?
I really look forward to the weekly stand-up we have with our colleagues in Athens. It’s a real privilege to have such a fun, productive and close relationship with them despite the distance. Lunches here are also awesome. My friends are all really jealous. The food is tasty and free. We’re well looked after.
What have you learned since joining Workable?
My biggest achievement is becoming super efficient at AdWords. I feel this is a huge accomplishment. I’ve also learned a lot of really specific skills since starting here. The training budget here is really great. I’ve recently learned a lot of new stuff so hope to follow this up with some reinforcement training.
Who in the company has had the most influence on you and why?
I’d say John has probably had the most influence on me. He helped me when I first started and since then has trusted me to run with things and work pretty much independently. There’s a lot of trust between us which I really value.
The best thing about working here?
What I love about Workable is that everywhere there is energy. I’m surrounded by really smart people, which is great. It’s also been really amazing seeing the company grow so fast and become so successful.
