How it works, privacy, and bias

Does the Workable Agent replace my recruiters?

No. The Agent handles information-heavy work - sourcing, initial screening, outreach - so your team can focus on evaluating, culture fit assessment, and closing. Recruiters still own the relationship and the final call.

In Phase II later in the year, the Agent will listen across interviews and emails, re-evaluate candidate fit, and consult on trade-offs to support you in making hiring decisions.

We've designed the Agent to minimize bias. It scores on job criteria and qualifications, not demographics. We don't infer or consider protected characteristics. We're active in AIXPERT and AutoFair research to advance fairness standards in recruiting AI.

Workable handles GDPR compliance for you. You can delete candidate data on request, and we remove it from our systems. The Agent respects your data retention policies.

The Agent evaluates candidates against up to 14 criteria specific to your job. Each criterion is scored independently and then normalized to a 0-100 scale. You see the score for each criterion, plus the overall score.
